Kia Beats Another Sales Record, Marking Three Straight Years of Growth

Kia continues its impressive momentum, setting an all-time annual sales record for the third consecutive year. In 2025, Kia America sold 852,155 vehicles, officially passing the 800,000-unit mark for the first time in brand history. This milestone represents a 7% increase over 2024, further solidifying their position as one of the fastest-growing automotive brands in the U.S.

Retail sales through Kia dealerships have also reached new heights, rising 5% year-over-year and extending Kia’s streak to eight consecutive years of retail growth. This achievement marks Kia’s highest-ever U.S. market share, driven by strong consumer demand across its diverse lineup of sedans, SUVs, and electrified vehicles.

Best-Ever Sales for Popular Kia Models

Several Kia models posted their best annual sales totals ever, led by some of the brand’s most popular vehicles:

  • Kia Carnival (+44%)
  • Kia Sportage (+13%), delivering the highest annual sales performance of any Kia model to date
  • Kia Telluride (+7%)
  • Kia K4 (+1%)

Sales of Kia SUVs increased 5% overall, while electrified Kia models grew by 24%, both setting new annual records. Kia’s sedans also saw strong demand, with a 13% year-over-year increase, highlighting their broad appeal across multiple vehicle segments.

What’s Next for Kia?

According to Kia leadership, this sustained growth reflects the brand’s commitment to innovation, design, and value. With the next-generation Kia Telluride and the highly anticipated K4 hatchback arriving in dealerships soon, and more new models on the way, Kia expects its sales momentum to continue climbing well into the coming year.

Industry Recognition and Safety Awards

Beyond sales success, Kia also earned major industry recognition:

  • The 2027 Kia Telluride was named one of Newsweek’s 2026 Most Anticipated New Vehicles, highlighting strong excitement ahead of its debut.
  • The 2026 Kia Sorento earned the IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ rating, the highest possible safety designation, for models built after September 2025.
